  3. thanks for the comments!

i think there may be some confusion as to what actually "went wrong" during croissant-making. i had issues with the arrangement of the butter block within the dough. ideally, the butter should be dispersed in very thin layers throughout very thin layers of dough. the butter in my croissants was dispersed in chunk-like form. at one point, i was freaking out about it. that's all.

    they tasted fantastic.

  4. Congratulations, Lisa! I'm glad you didn't have to call on Monsieur Pilsbury. They looked delish!

I loved the morning shot - hilarious set up and pay off. Only wish it could have lasted longer - but we've all got to wake up some time.

  5. WOWZA! That was such a good video! How early did you have to wake up?

I'm soooo impressed! I want a pain au chocolat now... where can one get the baton de chocolat in NYC? Hmmm...

I am certain your croissants were better than Fresh Parisian (Style) croissants that we scoffed at (on Vanderbilt, was it?).

    Well Done! Mmmm tres bon!

  7. Guess what I just realized...you should totally fill those croissants with chocolate next time. Or at least smother them in Nutella.

    Yum to infinity.
